-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Grants Available from the Florence Tyson Fund The Florence Tyson Fund is actively seeking applications for grants. The fund was created in 2004 to support deserving creative arts therapy work. The
Mission of the Fund is: • to inform health care professionals, social workers, teachers, and others about the benefits of community-based creative arts therapies for their clients; and to promote the utilization of these therapies in community settings •
to encourage and support research on the clinical efficacy of creative
arts therapies in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and related
psychiatric problems, in community settings. To apply for funding, send a letter of application to: Florence
Tyson Fund for Creative Arts Therapies The
letter should be 3-5 pages long, and should describe the individual
or organization that is applying for funding, the need for funding,
and the way in which the proposed project will advance the work
that was begun by Florence Tyson and is carried forward her colleagues
in the field of creative arts therapy. Proof of non-profit status,
if applicable, and an indication of other funding or organization
resources for the project should be included. Letters of application
